Professor Monica Trujillo, Department of Biological Sciences and Geology, presented on “SARS-CoV-2, wastewater and the CUNY-Immigrant Team"

This is the story of how a CUNY immigrant team developed a protocol to detect the SARS-CoV-2 genetic signal in NYC wastewater during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is also about wastewater surveillance becoming a great tool for public health, and a vision of possible roles for CUNY in NYC.
