Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) Program
Queensborough Community College received $499,994 from the New York State's Workforce Development Initiative Fund for the Queensborough's Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) program. The program, established in 2016 and replicated by several CUNY colleges, provides people who are seeking or sustaining recovery from substance addiction with the support they need to regain their health and tools to enter New York's workforce. Under the new funding, up to 50 percent of adult learners from culturally diverse and economically disadvantaged communities will be trained to enter CRPA careers in NYC healthcare institutions.

AWS Cloud Computing & Security
QCC's Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Computing enables participants to earn up to six AWS Certifications, including the AWS Cloud Computing Fundamentals, the AWS Solutions Architect Certification, the AWS Developer Associate Certification, the AWS SysOps Administrator Associate Certification, the AWS Specialization in Big Data and the AWS Specialization in Machine Learning Certifications.

If eligible, enroll in this free program to expand your Technology work opportunities through the online Google IT Support Professional Certificate Program, which can be completed in as little as 5 weeks, depending upon the student’s available time. The five-course program teaches skills needed to start a career in IT support, one of the fastest-growing careers in the U.S., with a median salary of $53,470. Software Engineering Web Development Boot Camp
The Strengthening Community Colleges Grant and the ACE Upskilling Opportunity Grants offer the Software Engineering Web Development Boot Camp which is designed to provide learners passionate about a career in Software Engineering to quickly develop highly in-demand web development skills, including programming languages, tools, and technologies to succeed in front end and back end development, as well as full-stack development. This intensive Boot Camp will immerse learners in a 100-hour online development environment over an intensive five-week time frame and is led by Software Engineering Industry experts and Instructors.

Strengthening Community Colleges Training Grant
The Strengthening Community Colleges Training Grant (referred to as Strengthening Community Colleges or SCC) awarded by the U.S Department of Labor (DOL) aims to build the capacity of community colleges to collaborate with employers and the public workforce development system to meet local and regional labor market demand for a skilled workforce. The grant also builds the capacity of community colleges to address challenges associated with the COVID-19 health crisis, such as expanding online and technology-enabled learning and migrating services to a virtual environment.

STEP - Science And Technology Entry Program
STEP (Science and Technology Entry Program) is a pre-collegiate program, successfully running at QCC (Queensborough Community College, Bayside NY) since 2006. The program, which is funded by the New York State Department of Education, seeks to strengthen students' skills in science and math and motivate them to enroll in college and pursue careers in science, technology, and the licensed professions. STEP is offered to students in grades 7-12 who are either underrepresented minorities and/or economically disadvantaged.

The Queensborough Liberty Partnerships Program is one of 47 Liberty Partnerships Programs across New York State and one of 18 Liberty Partnerships Programs in the New York City metropolitan area. All partnerships are between colleges and universities and middle and high schools.

R.I.S.E. - Road To Interdependence And Student Excellence
Career Exploration & Educational Services Supporting Advancement in Education & Beyond
R.I.S.E. is an inclusive free program with Career and Technical Education Specialists providing unlimited one-on-one meetings to help guide credit and non-credit students with their academic and career journey. Students will create a strategic set of individualized goals that will decrease the barriers they face while boosting the skills needed to increase employment opportunities and job retention.
We offer: Personalized Action Plans, Mentorship, Internship opportunities, Academic Tutoring & Skill-Building Workshops, Resume writing, Career exploration, and the R.I.S.E. Council.
