About Tuition, Funding Opportunities, and Refunds
Tuition and Fees
The tuition fees listed for each continuing education course represent the total charges for the course.
Payments

We accept credit cards or personal checks.

Cash payments are no longer accepted.

Personal checks will only be accepted ten (10) days prior to class start date.
Purchase Orders & Vouchers for Employee Training
Organizations enrolling staff for training and development purposes will be invoiced if a purchase order number is quoted.
Installment Payments
Students may be eligible for partial payment plans for specific tuition courses that are $800 and higher. Students will be charged a $25 administrative fee for choosing an installment payment option.
- Payment plans are split into 3 payments:
- Payment at contract signing: 50%(Tuition) + $25(fee)
- 2nd payment of 25%(Tuition)
- Final Payment of remaining 25%
- If students have not fully paid their tuition by the end of any program, students will not be given their certificate of completions and will be dropped from the program.
- For Certified Nursing Assistant students under the payment plan, Tuition must be fully paid by the time in-person skills labs are scheduled. If not fully paid, you will not be allowed to participate in the skills labs and the externship.
Special Discount Policy for Senior Citizens (65+ years old):

Can only be applied during registrations by phone or in person.

All Continuing Education courses are offered at a discounted rate on space-available bases. Appropriate proof must be submitted at the time of registration.

5% discount on all applicable/eligible courses less than $150.

10% discount on all applicable/eligible courses with tuition of $150 or more.
Funding Opportunities
Career Success Scholarship formerly known as the Helena Rubinstein Continuing Education Scholarship
The Career Success Scholarship Fund for Career Advancement Limited scholarships are available to cover up to 90% of tuition for individuals who seek to advance their careers through education and training, and who do not have access to other sources of funding that can pay for tuition and fees.
We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of the Career Success Scholarship application for the Fall 2026 Semester.
- The Career Success Scholarship Student Application will be live on June 1st, 2026, and close on August 3rd, 2026.
Who is Eligible?
- Unemployed, Underemployed, or looking to change careers
- Demonstrates a financial nedd
- Not currently enrolled in a degree program
- If already awared a degree, it must be 5 years prior to the current date
To apply, please send your essay to Jennifer Dullahan at jdullahan@qcc.cuny.edu. Once your essay is reviewed and approved you will be provided with an official link to apply where you will be asked to provide financial/tax documents.
Your essay should incorporate responses to the questions outlined below:

Parker Jewish Institute Nursing Scholarship Program
We are pleased to announce the Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation scholarship program to provide financial help to students pursuing licenses as certified nursing assistants. The aim of this special program is to support the career advancement of health care workers by providing them with financial aid to grow both professionally and personally.
The scholarships will be awarded based on several qualifications, including being enrolled in a health care program, living in the catchment area, being in good academic standing, and demonstrating financial need.
Scholarships of up to $1,250 for students pursuing a license as a Certified Nursing Assistant
Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis.
After completing the program, individuals are encouraged to work at Parker, although a job offer is not guaranteed.

Vouchers
All vouchers must be cleared/processed at least 7 business days before classes begin or the student will be removed from the roster.
1199SEIU Members
If you are currently an 1199SEIU member, you may be eligible to receive tuition reimbursement. To obtain reimbursement for a continuing education course, you must submit a completed application with all supporting documents to the Training and Upgrading Fund within 90 days of completing the course. DC37 Members
Many of the courses in this catalog are reimbursable for NYC employees who are members of District Council 37. The courses you choose can be credit or non-credit courses, as well as courses offered online. ACCES-VR Adult Career And Continuing Education Services
This program assists individuals with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment and to support independent living through training, education, rehabilitation, and career development. For more information, call (718) 816-4800 or visit their website.
Department Of Veteran Affairs
All veterans interested in obtaining information from the VA regarding their eligibility for funding need to have a copy of their DD-214 form and Certificate of Eligibility. For more information, visit the VA website to request official notification of education benefits.
Independent Training Accounts - HRA
You may be eligible for the Independent Training Accounts through HRA. Please find your local representative here.
Tuition Reimbursement
The College will accommodate requests for letters of support for reimbursement.
Corporate Tuition Reimbursement / Vouchers
The Corporate Tuition Reimbursement/ Vouchers may provide tuition reimbursement to pursue professional development and other certificate training courses. To find out if you qualify for Corporate vouchers or Tuition reimbursement, contact your company’s Education or Human Resource department.
Refund Policy
The Office of Continuing Education ADHERES to the following refund policy:
Refunds are ONLY issued when QCC Continuing Education cancels a class or upon an individual student’s request. Tuition for canceled classes will be refunded in full. To request a refund, you MUST submit a written request via mail, fax, or e-mail. Please note that Refund requests made by telephone will not be accepted.
Refunds are processed based on the date we receive your written request, regardless of your registration date. The Refund amounts are as follows:
- Requests received 7 days before the first session will receive 90% refund of tuition paid.
- Requests received before the second session will receive a 75% refund of the course tuition.
- No refund will be issued after the second session for any reason.
Note: All refunds take approximately 2-3 weeks to appear on your credit card after the Office of Continuing Education processed your request.
Non- attendance does not constitute a withdrawal or request for refund.
- A makeup class will only be provided if CEWD cancels a class; makeup classes Will Not be granted for student absences.
- Cash Refunds will not be issued.
- No Refunds for classes that meet for only one or two sessions or for classes after the second meeting.
- The college reserves the right to cancel any course, change fees, substitute faculty or alter schedules as necessary. We will make every effort to provide updated information as soon as possible if the course catalog is modified.
- For Multi-semester Programs, refunds will be calculated based on Tuition received minus the number of classes the student has attended at the time the refund request is made.

Course Cancellations
- Our Office strives to notify you of any course cancellations. Please confirm that your current telephone number(s) and email address are accurate at the time of registration.
- You will receive a full tuition refund for courses canceled by the College. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the refund to appear on your credit card after the refund is processed.
- The College reserves the right to cancel any course, make changes in fees, substitute faculty, or change days and hours when necessary. We will do our best to provide corrected information as soon as possible if the catalog containing course information is modified.
