Exams

Please be aware of some recent adjustments made to the Campus Peace Officer (CPO) and Campus Security Assistant (CSA) exams:

  • Campus Peace Officer: The 2-year waiting period to take the exam has now been reduced to 1 year.

  • Campus Security Assistant: The 2-year waiting period to take the exam has been further reduced to just 6 months.

It's important to note that this change is retroactive, meaning candidates who have previously applied only need to wait either 1 year or 6 months before reapplying for each exam. These adjustments will streamline the application process and provide candidates with more flexibility, while maintaining the integrity of the civil service exams.

CUNY employees and students are eligible for a fee waiver to file for Campus Peace Officer!

Please note that CPO and CSA are both offered as continuous recruitment exams, allowing candidates to apply for these exams at any time.
