Confidential Executive Officer - Office of Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
**POSITION DETAILS**
At Queensborough Community College, equity isn't a buzzword, it's a commitment. The Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (OEIB) leads the way in turning that commitment into action. We work in close partnership with students, faculty, staff, and leadership to build a community where every member feels valued and empowered to succeed. Our mission is to translate the College’s core values into meaningful outcomes by operationalizing equity and cultivating an environment where inclusion and belonging are everyday experiences.
OEIB has the critical charge to ensure compliance with CUNY’s Equal Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy, the Policy on Sexual Misconduct, and related federal, state, and local laws. But our work goes far beyond compliance. We create educational programs, community-building experiences, and strategic initiatives that foster awareness, deepen understanding, and close equity gaps to ensure that our richly diverse community thrives.
We are also building something greater: a campus culture rooted in trust, respect, and shared responsibility. OEIB is the engine driving this cultural shift, and we are seeking exceptional individuals ready to lead, shape, and grow this transformative work.
OEIB invites applications for a Confidential Executive Officer who will report directly to the Assistant Vice President for Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. In addition to the duties outlined in the CUNY Titlte Overview, responsibilities include:
Act as the primary resource for students, faculty, and staff seeking guidance or support related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Title IX, and related concerns.
Lead the full lifecycle of complaint response (from intake and investigation through resolution) for cases involving discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, and workplace violence, in alignment with CUNY policy and legal requirements.
Produce clear, comprehensive investigative reports that document findings, provide analysis, and support fair and timely resolutions.
Collaborate with the Office of Human Resources to ensure integrity, consistency, and compliance related to investigations of workplace harassment and violence cases.
Design and implement campus-wide training programs that go beyond legal mandates to educate the community on sexual misconduct prevention, anti-discrimination, respectful workplace behavior, and inclusive practices.
Create innovative, relevant, and engaging learning opportunities that inspire a campus culture rooted in equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Work in partnership with key stakeholders to regularly evaluate and enhance policies, procedures, and systems for effectiveness and equity.
Monitor, analyze, and report on trends in complaints and training participation to inform continuous improvement and identify areas of risk or opportunity.
Ensure institutional compliance with applicable federal, state, and city laws, as well as CUNY-wide policies and reporting requirements.
Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to college leadership on equity-related challenges, opportunities, and institutional initiatives.
Contribute to college-wide efforts that promote a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable environment for all members of the campus community.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, professionalism, and empathy.
