Our Purpose:
To create leadership opportunities for students in Education, to facilitate relationships between Members and aspiring Members of Kappa Delta Pi's Chapter.
One of the largest and most prestigious education Honor Societies in the world, KDP is dedicated to the ideals of Fidelity to Humanity, Service, and Toil.
Queensborough Community College's Chapter of KDP, Alpha Gamma Sigma was established in May 2006. Its goal is to recognize and enhance the professional development of its Members. The Chapter hopes that its Education students will take advantage of this unique opportunity to add to their educational credentials by becoming active in a Society of Scholars honored for their contribution to education.

To become a Member, a student must meet all of the following criteria:
- G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher.
- Intends to continue in the field of Education.
- Demonstrates leadership attributes.
- Provides evidence of significant educational service (such as tutoring or academic mentoring),
- Major in Elementary Education or be a Secondary Education student with a Major in a subject area, such as, Mathematics, History, etc.
- Completed 18 College Credits by end of current term.
- Completed EDUC-101 or INTE-221 or MA-901.
