Queensborough Community College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

In addition to institutional accreditation, some individual programs also have accreditations of their own. The associate in science degree programs in Computer Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, and Mechanical Engineering Technology are accredited by ETAC of ABET (Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET). The associate in science degree program in Nursing is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing Inc. The associate degree program in Theatre is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre. Business department programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. The Art Department is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
