The office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development

Welcome to Queensborough Community College’s Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD). As we are repositioning CEWD beyond pandemic to provide services to greater communities, you will see a lot of exciting and innovative programs coming your way. We want to inspire you to leave your comfort zone behind, reimagine what’s possible, make a meaningful impact, and become a lifelong learner.

How do I manage my stress while still being productive at work? Sign up for one of our Wellness classes, whether it be Meditation, Yoga, or Artistic Expression. Are you considering changing your career? We have programs that will help you explore careers, become career ready, and secure job placements. Our career readiness programs emphasize 21st century workplace skills that translate across jobs and industries, such as critical thinking, communication, leadership, end to end project management, and digital literacy. We also offer upskilling and reskilling workforce training programs in business, education, healthcare, and technology sectors, leading to micro-credentials and industry-recognized certifications such as AWS Cloud Computing, Google IT Professional Certificate, Google Project Management Certificate, Software Engineering, 5G Mobile Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Hemodialysis Technician, the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) training workshop for educator certification in New York State, and many more. These programs are mostly offered through online and hybrid and accommodating your work schedules.

If you want to improve language skills and get back on your feet to go to a degree program? We have pathway programs to help you transition to degree programs. What if my kids want to learn Chinese? Our Chinese Academy serves over 600 students a year. What if my kids are interested in programming? We offer Python, Robotics and 3D Printing. Check out our Teens College Code Academy. It opens the door to the tremendous opportunities for jobs in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

No matter where you are trying to go, we have a way to get you there. Don’t wait! Call or come visit us on campus and/or on social media. We look forward to being part of your adventure in lifelong learning.
