How do I get a computer or an upgrade to my computer?
Requests for new computer equipment in excess of a department’s budget, including office software applications and accessories, should be sent from the Chairperson/ Director to:

Information Technology will prepare a quote. If a department budget cannot support the new equipment, Information Technology may have some used equipment available.
How do I get connected to the college network?
Most of the rooms and offices on campus are connected to the LAN. If you do not have connectivity in the location in which you are teaching or working, have the departmental secretary contact:
Buildings and Grounds:
For the Online Work Request System use http://www.qcc.cuny.edu/financeAdmin/buildings-grounds.html
Alternatively you may call (718) 631-6231
Buildings and Grounds will make the appropriate connectivity preparations and will notify:
- Information Technology for administrative offices
- The Academic Computing Center for classrooms
If the room or office has or has had a working desktop computer it, the room is connected to the LAN.
How do I get an Email account?
Students - Microsoft 365 accounts are established for all QCC term activated students.
Full-Time Faculty – Requests come from the Office of Faculty and Staff Relations
Adjuncts – Requests come from Adjunct Services
Administrative Staff – Requests come from the Personnel Office
How do I reset a password for my Email account?
Faculty and Staff - From the QCC website select login then select email password reset. This will bring you to: https://pass.qcc.cuny.edu/
Students - QCC Microsoft 365 uses your CUNY Login credentials. Go to the CUNY Login screen to change your password.
