Call for Peer Reviewers

The Queensborough Community College Undergraduate Research Journal is seeking peer reviewers from all disciplines to assist in reviewing articles for the journal. Selected reviewers will be matched to articles within their field of research or discipline.

The peer reviewer's duties are to:

  • Read, score, and provide review comments on manuscripts.
  • Submit a detailed and constructive review to the subject editor within two weeks of receiving the manuscript.
  • Make publishing recommendations.

The journal follows a double-blind review process. The identity of author(s) and reviewer(s) will remain anonymous to each other throughout the decision process. Reviewers with a conflict of interest may not participate during the review process. Conflict of interest include:

  • You will be participating in the development of a manuscript either as the Principle Investigator or an author.
  • A manuscript will be submitted by your spouse/partner or family member.

If you are interested, please submit a short statement (no more than 2-3 paragraphs) describing your qualifications and area(s) of expertise along with a CV to [insert email address].

Your statement should include:

  • Full Name
  • Education – list of all degrees and institutions (e.g., Ph.D., Institution, Degree; B.A., Institution, Degree)
  • Organizational affiliation
  • Academic or research positions in chronological order beginning with your most recent title
  • Telephone numbers
  • Preferred E-mail address
  • Detailed description of your area(s) of expertise
