The UCTDDAS project - For Students

High-tech jobs are a key driver of New York City’s place in the US economy and the need for high-tech workers is growing. This National Science Foundation supported project aims to increase the number of students graduating with the skills necessary to enter the workforce in the areas of big data analytics, cloud computing, and biomedical and health informatics.

Student Training Opportunities

  • Hybrid summer bootcamp in July 31 - August 24, 2023. Eligible students will receive a stipend. The curriculum for the summer bootcamp was developed with industry and academic partners to respond to the needs of the job market and it includes preparation for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification
  • Year-long mentored research after the summer bootcamp with faculty and/or industry mentor
  • Preparation for internship applications and job interviews
  • Seminar series with data scientists from industry and academia
