The Academic Senate Committee on CURRICULUM COMMITTEE met on November 28 , 2023 at 2:10 pm via Zoom


Committee Members in Attendance:

R. Apkinar, D. Armstrong (guest from Health, Physical Education & Dance), B. Berkhout (guest from Music), B. Flaherty, G. Fragopoulos, T. Hemraj-Benny, I. Lizzul (Chair), K. Mason, A. Salis (guest from Health, Physical Education & Dance), V. Shekoyan (Secretary), N. Sullivan

Absent: Fox-Herron, C. Vasquez (Student Representative)

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM

  1. The minutes of the November 21, 2023 meeting were approved by the committee.
  2.  The committee welcomed Andrea S. Salis and Daniel Armstrong from the Health, Physical Education & Dance Department to discuss the following course revision:

              Course revision: HE-200 Emergency Medical Technician

 The course revision was considered by all present, and it passed unanimously.

   3. The committee welcomed Bjorn Berkhout from the Music Department to discuss the following items:

               Program revision: MUS-A.S

              Course revision: MUS- 121, Music Theory 1

              Course revision: MUS-210, Music for Teachers of Children

              Course deletion: MUS- 241 History of Western Music: 18th and 19th Centuries

 The items were considered by all present, and it passed unanimously.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:42 PM.
