The Academic Senate Committee on CURRICULUM COMMITTEE met on November 21 , 2023 at 2:10 pm via Zoom


Committee Members in Attendance:

R. Apkinar, B. Flaherty, D. Fox-Herron, C. J. Jiménez (guest from Communication, Theatre, & Media Production), T. Hemraj-Benny, H. Huggins (guest from Communication, Theatre, & Media Production), I. Lizzul (Chair), C. Manzo (guest from Business), K. Mason, V. Shekoyan (Secretary), N. Sullivan

Absent: G. Fragopoulos, C. Vasquez (Student Representative)

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM

  1.  The minutes of the October 24, 2023 meeting were approved by the committee.

  2. The committee welcomed Heather Huggins and C. Julian Jiménez from the Communication, Theatre, & Media Production Department to discuss the following new course submission and program revision:

         New course: TH – 113 / Theater and Social Change

         Program revision: Theatre (Concentrations, Acting, Technical Theatre)

    The new course and program revision were considered by all present, and it passed unanimously.

  3. The committee welcomed Christina Manzo from the Business Department to discuss the following a revision to the following program:

       A.A.S. Management

    The proposal was considered by all present, and it passed unanimously.

     

  4. The committee also discussed the deadlines for proposal submission for its inclusion in the Fall, 2024 catalog.

     

    The meeting was adjourned at 2:32 PM.
