The Academic Senate Committee on Student Activities Committee met on March 13, 2025, 11:00am, Virtual


Business:

The meeting was called to order at 11:05 am

In Attendance: Wilfredo Moran, Kwang Hyun Kim, Sybil White, Tikola Russell, Jennifer Klien, Lisa Scandaliato, Victor Fichera (guest)

 

  1. Called Meeting to Order: 11:05 AM (Virtual Meeting)
  2. Approval of Meeting Minutes: February 10, 2025

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

Survey Status

  • Victor Fichera reported the preliminary results for the survey (see attached results)
  • Still not enough data for a clear survey – 100 participants out of a targeted group of 1000 students sent survey via email
  • An incentive will be sent out with the next survey announcement
  • Suggestion to reach out to Angelica May in Marketing to promote survey on social media


Career Fair

 

  • Unfortunately, the committee will not be able to host a volunteer fair this semester

 

Student Government Attendance

 

  • Ask Ray & Gisela to promote the committee among Student Government to increase student representative attendance
  • Student Government elected “Program Director.” The committee Chairperson will try to coordinate with that individual

 

Student Activities Election

 

  • Annual commitment elections will take place next meeting for Student Activities Chairperson and Secretary
