■ Welcome to the Lucille A. Bova Food Pantry. The Food Pantry serves students who are experiencing food hardship. Please select up to ten items per visit and no more than two of each item. Those who bring their own bag will be entitled to one more additional item.

• ○  Reduction in food items and increased use of food pantry (return of students to campus, increased statistics of food insecurity and food cost inflation.) The purpose of the food pantry is to serve students with food hardship.

• ○  Committee’s thoughts: Spring 2023 Service-learning Project: interdisciplinary campus-wide service-learning/student project opportunity next semester for our students to raise awareness about college students unmet essential needs (food and housing insecurity, mental and physical health ), the impact on academics, and the campus and community resources.

nursing students can focus on the impact on health from food insecurity, economics can think about the healthcare costs related to poor nutrition. several interested English professors indicated emphasizing food insecurity with either public service announcements, creative writing assignments, poetry, or a narrative re: lived experiences.
