The Academic Senate Committee on Committee on Course & Standings met on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Room # A-104

The meeting was called to order at

The chair brought up the Fresh Start/Forgiveness policy mentioned by the Registrar, Patricia Canale, at the last committee meeting.  The Registrar discussed with the committee that there is an on investigation on policies in other CUNY and non-CUNY institutions.  Questions to be answered: how many years of non-attendance would be required? Additionally, would all courses no matter what the grades be removed or could it be only failed courses.  This policy is being reviewed by Office of Academic Affairs with the Registrar.  

 

The Committee met to review the Late and Retroactive withdrawal appeal for the students.  The number of appeals for late and retroactive withdrawals are below.
