The Academic Senate Committee on Academic Development/Elective Academic Programs met on November 26, 2024 at 12:00PM - RFK207 & Zoom


Committee Members in Attendance:

Present: Zeynep Akcay (2027), Rezan Akpinar (2026, Chair), Chukwudi Ikwueze (2027), Kevin Kolack (2025, Secretary & CoC liaison)

Not present: Arthur Abramov- student appointments (2025), Melissa Dennihy- teaching (2026), William Duque-  student appointments (2027), Deborah Karlin- student appointments (2026, Vice-Chair), Danny Mangra- teaching (2025)

NO QUORUM - INFORMATIONAL MEETING ONLY

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 12:05PM

  2. Review Committee Meeting Minutes October 23rd, 2024 approval postponed
  3. Reports from subcommittees
    QPAC has an interim director- Mark Amsterdam. Ikwueze contacted him and he’s happy to meet with us to see how we can help.
    Honors program- Ikwueze says OAA has a breakdown by department is available. Also happy to meet with us to see how we can help promoting.
    No int’l affairs office anymore, so need to have charges amended. Ikwueze will continue to investigate who is dealing with study abroad.
    CETL asked us to promote UR Day (12/6)
