  1. Attendance
  2. Review Committee Meeting Minutes Sept 10th, 2024 approved with no corrections
  3. Annual report review
    Link provided to committee members.
  4. Workshop – CETL- Research and Publication Virtual Workshop Series
Last session is on October 25, 2024. Committee members should promote to their departments.
  5. Workshop ideas
Especially needed as Meg Tarafdar is retiring as of the end of Fall 2024 and a new (interim) director has not yet been named by Provost Tweed.
  6. Meeting time – reevaluation of our meeting time
Tuesday 11/26, noon-1 for next meeting.

  7. Old business
Akpinar previously mentioned to Steering Committee about lack of departmental diversity on committee. Kolack will be sure the CoC addresses this for the upcoming year.
  8. New business
    1. Need to clarify/update our final 2 charges, and add others as needed (Akpinar, Kolack, and Ikwueze will work on this for completion before the end of the semester):
#4: Unsure who Dir of Ext Affairs is, and the director of QPAC retired and that title has not been replaced.
#5: Dennihy will discuss Honors issue with Counihan of the FEC. Supposed to be working with CUNY-BA, study abroad, and other such advisors. We need to either do this or remove from charges.
    2. Duque and Akcay will reach out to dept. chairs regarding their needs for workshops/seminars. Perhaps one on dealing with SSD students. There is a CUNY-wide UDL course going on now. Only 5 registrants from QCC . Dennihy is a campus coordinator, and will ask participants if they’d like to participate.
    3. Transparency series run by A. Matos is posted on the QCC website. Updating the tenure/promotion program that S. Palmer ran could be worthwhile.
    4. Need to promote the FACULTY PRESENTATIONS OF FELLOWSHIP PROJECTS on 11/15.
Meeting adjourned 12:50PM.

Respectfully submitted by:

Kevin Kolack
