Material Safety Data Sheets - Environmental Health and Safety Office

Under OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are required to be made available to employees who routinely handle toxic or hazardous chemicals. If your department uses or stores such chemicals, you must have a copy of each chemical’s MSDS available to your staff for review. MSDS’s are available from the chemical’s manufacturer or distributor. In order to facilitate in the collection and retention of MSDS’s, QCC EHS has subscribed to an online database service, MSDSOnline.com. Please contact EHS if your laboratory, shop or department is in need of assistance with obtaining an MSDS for a chemical.
