CN-8 College and Career Prep Workshop

June 1 - June 29, 2020

With the move to distance learning at your high school, you no longer have easy access to your college office. Maybe you're a little worried about the college application process or the transition from high school to college.

Dear Seniors- It's an understatement to say that your final year didn't go as planned. If you've already applied and been accepted to college, you may be apprehensive about the transition, especially in these times.

Dear Juniors- The spring SATs you may have planned on taking have been cancelled. You have to research and decide on colleges and may be wondering where you go from here.

Whether you are a junior or a senior, the College and Career Prep Workshop offered by College Now at Queensborough can help.

The College and Career Prep Workshop is a free 30-hour online class led by an experienced instructor who walks you through:

  1. Why you should go to college and overcoming obstacles to achieve that goal
  2. Acing the college application
  3. How to thrive in college--focusing on time management and study skills

(Class will meet online for 2 hours on Tuesdays led by an instructor; students will be assigned 5.5 hours of independent work each week. Class runs June 1 - June 29, 2020)

Interested? If you have taken other College Now classes, send us your name, contact information, OSIS and EMPLID number to register. Otherwise, please follow the application link and then email Hayley Amengual hamengual@qcc.cuny.edu or Dina Whyte Dwhyte@qcc.cuny.edu
