Course Description in college catalog:
An introduction to the basic concepts of pathophys- iology. Examination of the phenomena that produce alterations in human physiologic function and the resulting human responses. Emphasis will be placed on disease processes in the human body, including its primary and secondary effects, and its application to clinical practice across the life span.

1. Integrate knowledge in learnt in pathophysiology in examining disease process
2. Be able to outline the basic physiological mechanisms and the pathological processes which affect the organ of interest leading to diseased state
3. Use the basic concepts of cellular responses to describe different types of cellular injuries, ischemia, necrosis, stress, etc.
4. Apply the knowledge learning on organ pathology that leads to different clinical characteristics of the diseased state
