Brian Kerr, Ed.D.

Brian A. Kerr is the director of articulation, transfer and educational partnerships at Queensborough Community College of the City University of New York. He joined the college in 2004 as the director of academic advisement. Since that time he has played a few key roles at the college. Most notably, he served as assistant director of the Males program under student affairs and also served as interim chief diversity officer under the direction of the president.

Dr. Kerr received his baccalaureate degree from The University at Albany, his master’s degree from Stony Brook University, and his doctorate from St. John’s University.

Dr. Kerr has served in higher education since 1997. Before coming to Queensborough, he was the assistant director of the Educational Opportunity Program at Stony Brook University. During his tenure at Stony Brook, Dr. Kerr taught multiple sections of the university’s freshman seminar and taught at the graduate level for the Harriman School for Management and Policy, which is now the School of Business.
