National Transfer Student Week

National Transfer Student Week

Queensborough Community College will be celebrating our 4th National Transfer Student Week from October 16-20, 2023.

When it comes to your college education, the best way to get ahead is to plan ahead. If you plan on transitioning to a four-year college after you graduate, it is important to do your research early - and we are here to help you!

What is National Transfer Student Week?

The National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) has declared the third week of October as National Transfer Student Week. This week allows colleges to celebrate transfer students and their advocates who have helped them to navigate transitioning from one institution to another after degree completion.

The week provides a forum to highlight transition struggles and successes that connect our campus and our four-year partners in advocating for our prospective graduates.  This year’s theme is Full Steam Ahead! #TransferStudentWeek

The Office of Academic Affairs and The Division of Student Affairs are sponsoring a series of virtual events during the week to help prospective graduates in their four-year college research planning and to learn how to successfully transition to a bachelor's degree program after completing their degree at Queensborough.
