Admissions Requirements

  • Application Required: Yes
  • Degree Requirement: Completed Associate of Science degree (AS) in Health Sciences with a Concentration in Medical Imaging
  • Minimum CUM GPA: 2.5
  • Audition/Portfolio: Not applicable

Notes:

  • The minimum GPA for the transfer program is 2.5.  However, admission to the program is competitive and students with higher GPAs are more likely to be admitted.
  • Students must be accepted as a transfer student at Molloy University.
  • Upon transfer, students must declare a major in Nuclear Medicine Technology at Molloy University.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology requires that students complete 60 credits of Liberal Arts and Sciences coursework prior to beginning the program.  However, the Health Sciences degree at QCC only requires 58 credits of Liberal Arts coursework.  (BI-150, a required course, does not qualify as Liberal Arts.) As a result, QCC students should take two additional credit hours of Liberal Arts and Sciences prior to transfer.  (See the catalog for subjects that qualify.) Students that do not take the additional two credits of Liberal Arts and Science courses prior to transfer will have to complete the credits at Molloy prior to starting the Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • It is the responsibility of the incoming transfer student to check the current requirements for the B.S. in Nuclear Medicine Technology at Molloy University in effect at the time of his or her entrance to Molloy University even if they are different from what are found in this agreement.

Additional Notes: All students must successfully complete two (2) writing-intensive classes (designated "WI") at Queensborough Community College to fulfill degree requirements.
