Notes:

Students enrolled in the A.S. in Chemistry at QCC must:

  • Have a GPA of 2.5 in the science major courses at the time of admission to York.
  • Satisfy foundation science courses at QCC before entering the junior year of the Pharmaceutical Sciences major at York, as follows (each one-year sequences): General Chemistry: CH-151 and 152, Organic Chemistry: CH-251 and 252, General Biology: BI-201 and 202, and Analytical Geometry and Calculus: MA-441 and 442.
  • Students will also be advised to take their Calculus Physics courses at QCC, and these courses will be accepted as additional transfer credits. QCC's calculus physics sequence is PH-411, 412, 413, equivalent to York's sequence, PHYS 151 and 152 (10 credits). 

Additional Notes: All students must successfully complete two (2) writing-intensive classes (designated "WI") at Queensborough Community College to fulfill degree requirements.

Active Articulation Agreement Notes:

  • When students transfer to York, they will be required to select one additional writing course. Students may still have to take some courses included in the GER if they are required by their major or they are prerequisites for other courses. If students have not met York's foreign languages requirement, they will take those courses there. 
  • After completing the required 60 credit program at QCC, students will be required to take two
    additional foundation courses of University Physics at York. In addition to these ten (10) credits,
    students will take twenty seven (27) credits to complete the Pharmaceutical Sciences
    requirements, six (6) credits to complete the Pharmaceutical Sciences elective requirements, and
    seventeen (17) more credits to complete York's General Education requirements.
  • Note:  Students with an A.A., A.S. or A.A.S. degree from a CUNY or SUNY community college, with the exception of students in the Nursing Program, will have fulfilled the General Education Requirements except for Writing 301, 302 or 303.  Students may still have to take some courses included in the General Education Requirements if they are required by their major, or they are prerequisites for other courses.
