How To Check Your Graduation Status

  1. Log in to CUNYfirst.

  2. Click on "Student Center."

  3. Click on "Academic Records."

  4. On the menu on the left-hand side, Click on "Application for Graduation."


Graduation Status Definitions:

Applied: You are a candidate for graduation.

In Review: We are currently reviewing your academic record to see if you have met the requirements for graduation; we will send you the results of this review by letter to your preferred email address in your CUNYfirst account.

Withdrawn: Your candidacy for graduation has been removed because you are lacking a substantial number of credits or require more than two semesters to fulfill your requirements for graduation.

Denied: You have not met the requirements for graduation; if you register for your missing requirements during the subsequent semester, you will become a candidate for that semester.

Pending: You will be awarded your degree/certificate pending successful completion of your current registered courses.

Approved: You have met the requirements for your degree and you will be placed in Awarded status upon the upcoming graduation date; you may request an official verification letter to verify this status at the Registrar’s Office located in the Administration Building room A-104.

Awarded: Your CUNYfirst record will convey that you have been awarded your degree/certificate; your transcript will reflect this information. An e-diploma will be sent to your preferred email selected in your CUNYfirst account through Parchment Services 3 to 4 months after your graduation date.  A few weeks later, a physical diploma will be mailed to your home address.

To view your degree requirements, please log into your CUNYfirst account, click on "Student Center", after that, click on "DegreeWorks and FACTS", On the Application Selection (PRODUCTION) please select “DegreeWorks" for "Queensborough CC”.
