Published: February 18, 2020

The primary process for the 2020 Presidential election is underway. So is the current exhibit at the QCC Art Gallery, P.O.T.U.S., a series of clay busts of George Washington, Richard Nixon, Barack Obama, John F. Kennedy, and other past leaders of the free world. The show opened February 6 and will run through April 2, 2020.

Faustino Quintanilla, Executive Director of the QCC Art Gallery describes artist, Josefina Brunés as expressing herself with a “formal realism and at the same time with the fun and the personal pleasure of creating the subject.”

“I want a multiple and round view of the object. The result is an amusing work that also conveys the beauty and elegance of human form. It doesn't try to give any messages and it is not based on any kind of psychological background,” said Brunés.
