The 2019 Juried Student Art Exhibit will Open at the QCC Art Gallery on March 7

Published: March 05, 2019

"The 2019 Juried Student Exhibit is jammers this year!  A total of 79 artists and 17 instructors from Queensborough's Art & Design department have contributed a stellar collection of work.  The works hold their own in any gallery, but I’m particularly keen on a pronounced pride in our community from the participating artists.  Two video pieces capture, with uncanny ability, 90's school sitcoms. With some subtle tongue in cheek, artists also express the genuine joy in their surroundings.  The work WOW Taiwan! marks a first time contribution from an Art History course collaborating with an English course but also notable for garnering its inspiration from a show that originated in the QCC Art Gallery, a true campus effort.  Come and see and then boast of what Queensborough, your community, has produced."

Annemarie Coffey, Professor, Art and Design and Curator, 2019 Juried Student Art Exhibit

The exhibit will run from March 7-April 19.
