Broadway Legend Maurice Hines will Share his Joy of Tappin’ Through Life at the Queensborough Performing Arts Center on Sunday, April 30 at 3:00pm

Published: April 19, 2017

Broadway legend Maurice Hines will tap us through his incredible career in show business in this song and dance celebration on Sunday, April 30 at 3:00pm.

Hines pays tribute to his brother Gregory, and the performers who inspired him—from Frank Sinatra to Lena Horne—with standards like Luck be a Lady, Smile, It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Got That Swing) and more! Backed by The Diva Jazz Orchestra, an all-female big band, and sharing the stage with his protégés, the Manzari Brothers, this sensational showman is pulling out all the stops to put a smile on your face and dance away with your heart!

“When I’m on stage, my main focus is to follow what my wonderful mother told Greg and me, ‘No matter what you do on stage always do it with class, and make sure everyone in the audience leaves saying, “Wow, I had a great time, baby!’"

“This masterful song and dance man will thrill audiences with his interpretation of the songs from the Great American Songbook,” said Susan Agin, Executive and Artistic Director of QPAC. “Join us for this upbeat show, filled with nostalgia and charm!”
