Audiences Will Howl at the Boisterous Blarney of The Irish Comedy Tour, Coming to the Queensborough Performing Arts Center on March 13

Published: February 24, 2016

Come join the party atmosphere of a Dublin pub with a band of hilarious Irish American comedians who debunk as well as validate all of the Irish myths and stereotypes. These talented and rambunctious “hooligans” will bring their laugh-a-minute performance to the Queensborough Performing Arts Center (QPAC) on Sunday, March 13 at 8:00PM.

The Irish Comedy Tour cast of politically incorrect characters features:

Detroit native Derek Richards, who regales audiences with tales about his mom's dog, the holidays and dating a stripper. He has appeared on The Bob & Tom Show, SiriusXM Radio, and The Weather Channel's Top 10;

Boston-born Mike McCarthy, whose no-holds-barred humor has landed him on Comedy Central and Showtime. The "comedy barbarian," as he calls himself, takes no prisoners when it comes to poking fun at society's most sensitive topics;

Nova Scotia's Damon Leibert, whose power-packed fiddle playing combines the dance beat of Cape Breton and the lyrical music of Ireland; and Derrick Keane, originally from Inchicore, Ireland, who first distinguished himself musically in the All Ireland Talent Competition. His band, Inchicore, sets the gold standard for the Irish music scene in New England and across North America.

“Join us for a boisterous, laugh-filled evening of all things Irish including mischievous fun and lively Celtic tunes!” said Susan Agin, Executive and Artistic Director of QPAC.
