He has taught at Queensborough since 2004. His courses include Ancient Civilizations, Medieval and Early Modern Europe, Modern Western Civilization, Modern Economic History, Modern Germany, and World History from 1870 to 1945.
He has traveled extensively in Ireland, Britain, France, Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Greece, Russia, Estonia, Finland, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Turkey.
Dr. Clingan won the Award for Excellence in Faculty Scholarship in 2014.
