Updates on Formation of the Subcommittee
- All committee members should select a subcommittee to serve on before the next committee meeting. A Google document has been shared for members to add their names to their chosen subcommittee.
Subcommittee 1 (Student Survey & Related Article):
- Members: Ron Van Cleef, Venessa Singhroy, Zhou Zhou
- Charges: Ron and Zhou will develop the student survey, while Venessa will lead the data analysis.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- To encourage student participation in the survey, a QR code could be shared with all student advisors or posted on the doors of advisor offices for students to scan and participate.
- The committee should also contact the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) to obtain official, accurate, unbiased, and useful information and analysis.
Subcommittee 2 (Google Docs Conversion to PDFs & Related Article):
- Subcommittee 2 has been canceled as agreed upon in the meeting.
- Ron will post links related to the topics in the upcoming newspaper.
Subcommittee 3 (Information from Academic Affairs on Brightspace Issues & Related Article):
- The committee agrees that additional members are needed to support the subcommittee. The committee encourages more members to volunteer and join this effort.
- The following information has been identified as interesting and worth exploring in future newspaper articles:
- What are the top concerns and the most frequently asked questions the BrS support team has received so far?
- Has the BrS support team already conducted surveys, and can this committee gain access to those surveys and their results?
- Each call made to the BrS support team should automatically generate a ticket number. How many tickets have been created, and what percentage of issues have been resolved?
- A member of this committee should also contact the Office of Technology to obtain useful information.
Subcommittee 4 (Information on QCC Laptop Availability & Related Article):
- Jonggu Moon volunteered to gather information from the library and report back to the committee.
