Summary of actions not covered by above
- Upon recommendation of this committee, on the Returning Student Application for Dismissed Students online,a line was added notifying potential student that there may be a limitation of 6 credits when readmitted.
- We looked into the possibility of adding informaton about the Academic Fresh Start program on the Re-admit webpage. Admissions informed us that upon receiving re-admit application, they look into who may quality and reach out to those students. They explained that posting the Academic Fresh Start program on the readmit page may create confusion.
Special thanks to the secretary of our committee, Kristen Hoffman, for taking the initiative in creating a shared document for members to work efficiently as well as creating a tutorial on how to place one's votes.
I would also like to thank all the former and current committee members for their time reviewing each application and providing thoughtful feedback on their decisions.
Lastly, I would like to highlight the work of our committee's admissions office assistant, Jankee Guzman, who has provided this committee with all the information needed to make our decisions and is a pleasure to work with.
Respectfully Submitted,
Jannette Alejandra Urciuoli, Ph.D., LCSW
Associate Professor, Chair of the Admissions Committee
Committee recommendations for upcoming year
- Continue to work collaboratively on making decisions.
- Continue to consult with the office of Admissions.
- Consider proposing a reduction in the number of committee members on our committee from 6 to 5. An odd number will assist when needed to split an even vote.
