Subject: Please Remind Students to Complete Spring 2025 Faculty Evaluations

Dear Colleagues,

As we approach the end of the Spring 2025 semester, we ask for your assistance in encouraging students to complete their faculty evaluations. Student evaluations provide valuable feedback that helps us improve our teaching and support ongoing faculty development.

The student evaluation period runs from Thursday, May 1 through Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Important details to share with your students:

  • Evaluations are conducted online.
  • Once students click the link sent to their email or text, they will be taken to a single webpage containing all of their course evaluations.
  • The evaluation page can be saved and completed later, before the final submission.
  • Evaluations are anonymous and are not accessible by faculty until after final grades are submitted.
  • Student feedback is read by faculty and administrative committees to inform improvements in teaching and curricular planning.

To support you in this process, we’ve provided two sample messages below that you may post in your Brightspace course or email directly to your students. If possible, please consider setting aside 5 minutes of class time to allow students to complete their course evaluations.

Please take a few moments to complete your evaluation(s) using the link provided in the email or text message you received. All evaluations are anonymous and will not be seen by instructors until after grades are submitted.

Your feedback is important and helps improve teaching and course design.

Thank you for your time and input.

Subject: Your Feedback Matters – Course Evaluations Now Open

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder that student evaluations for the spring 2025 semester are now open and will remain available until Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

You can access your evaluations through the link sent to your email or text. Once there, you’ll find all of your course evaluations on one page. You can save your progress and return to it before submitting.

These evaluations are anonymous, have no effect on your grade, and are reviewed only after grades are submitted. Your feedback is used to improve our courses and teaching.

Please take a moment to share your thoughts. I appreciate your participation!

Thank you for helping to promote this important initiative. Please contact the Office of Academic Affairs with any questions regarding the evaluation process.
