Course Description in college catalog:

An introduction to the science of thermodynamics. Properties of pure substances; concepts of work and heat; closed and open systems. Fundamental laws of thermodynamics. Carnot and Clasius statements of the second law; entropy and entropy production; heat engines, refrigerators, heat pump; efficiencies, coefficients of performance.
