How do I Pay for College?

At Queensborough, you have several tuition payment options to help pay for your college education. Below you can find information on each of the 6 ways to pay for college.

6 Ways To Pay

Tuition Payment Options

  1. Financial Aid

  2. Electronic Check

  3. Tuition Payment Plan (Nelnet Tuition Payment Plans)

  4. Credit Card: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover

  5. Check or Money Order by Mail or In Person

  6. International Payments

  7. Vouchers

Every student is responsible for knowing how to register for classes, whether directly online through CUNYfirst or through an adviser. It is also your responsibility to know what classes you are registered for and to pay your bill on time. Even if you do not attend classes, you must still pay tuition and fees. Read more about the University Billing and Payment Policy.

In accordance with The City University of New York (CUNY) guidelines, payment of your upcoming semester's tuition must be paid by your payment due date.

International Payments

International students can now pay their tuition and fees through their Student Center using checking and/or credit card information or other foreign methods of payment.

Click on the MAKE A PAYMENT option in your Student Center which will take you to the payment gateway. Select International Payments from the menu which will take you to the global payment website.

Select your country and select your method of payment from the options presented.

Important Payment Notes

Financial Aid

Students receiving Financial Aid are advised that New York State education regulations require that an eligible full time student must be enrolled for 12 credits and have a matriculated status. Accordingly, a student must be registered for courses that the college catalog states are contributing toward fulfilling the curriculum requirements for a degree. Electives are acceptable when taken in accordance with published degree requirements. Contact the Office of Financial Aid (718-631 6367) for additional information and if you are thinking to leave financial aid, make sure to see the impact of withdrawal on financial aid.

If you do not make full payment on your tuition and fees and other college bills and your account is sent to a collection agency, you will be responsible for all collection costs, including agency fees, attorney fees and court costs, in addition to whatever amounts you owe the college.

In addition, non-payment or a default judgment against your account may be reported to a credit bureau and reflected in your credit report.

Credit Card Notice

Effective July 1 2019, students will be able to pay tuition and fee charges with American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover card online. Students will be charged a 2.75% service fee for one time, online credit card payments.

All credit card payments incur a 2.75% service fee. You can pay by logging into CUNYFirst Self Service and go to your Student Center. Go to Finances and select Make a Payment. Advisory: Enhanced Credit and Debit Card Payment Options for Tuition and Fees.
