Queensborough Celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2026

Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month

Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month is a time to celebrate and honor the rich history, vibrant cultures, and meaningful contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. While it is nationally observed each May, Queensborough proudly celebrates AAPI Heritage Month in April.

Since the academic semester concludes in mid-May, and many members of our campus community are engaged in final exams and end-of-term commitments, we intentionally recognize this month earlier.

Under the theme, Power in Community, you’ll find programs that uplift and celebrate the voices, experiences, and achievements of those in our community who identify as Asian American and Pacific Islander.
