Monthly Report of the Committee on Committees for October 2022
I. October 13, 2022 Meeting
The Committee on Committees met via Zoom to do the following:
a. Discuss it charges and outline its main tasks/goals for the 2022-2023 academic year
b. Fill vacancies on a number of committees
1. Sunjun Wei (Chemistry) was approved to fill Scott Litroff’s position on the
Committee on Bylaws. Wei’s term will end Spring 2023.
2. Michelle Rossi (Nursing) was approved to fill Azita Mayeli’s positon on the
Committee on Computer Resources. Rossi’s term will end Spring 2024.
3. Mark Zelcer (Social Sciences) was approved to fill Janet Schwenk’s position on
the Committee on Computer Resources. Zelcer’s term will end Spring 2023.
4. Deon Gibson (Social Sciences) was approved to fill Zeynep Akcay’s position on
the Committee on Continuing Education. Gibson’s term will end Spring 2026.
5. Kerri-Ann Smith (English) was approved to fill Phil Pecorino’s position on the
Committee on Curriculum. Smith’s term will end Spring 2023.
6. Michael DeMarco (Social Sciences) was approved to fill Raul Armendariz’s position
On the Committee on WID/WAC. DeMarco’s term will end Spring 2024.
c. Approved the two vacancies that Chairperson had filled on August 31 (Tanya Zhelezcheva to fill Stephanie Rost’s position on the Committee on Environment, Quality of Life, and Disability Issues) and September 7 (Weier Ye to fill Kimberly Riegel’s position on the Committee on Student Activities).
II. No Upcoming Business
