TIPPS (Transfer Information &Program Planning System)

Is in the process of being removed from service. CUNY is now making the transfer information feature available through the CUNY Portal via an updated CUNYfirst Course Catalog. This feature will allow CUNY and non-CUNY students/faculty/staff to view the benefits of TIPPS with an updated and integrated system.

Here is how you can locate the new course equivalent feature:

  1. From the menu at the top of this page (or go directly to http://www2.cuny.edu/  and skip to #3) click on Login

  2. click CUNY Portal

  3. No need to log in. At the top of the login page, hover over the “Academics” tab & Click “Academic Programs”

  4. At the bottom left of this page, choose Course Catalog (appears in a shaded box) Note: If already logged into CUNYfirst you may have to repeat #3 & 4.

  5. Select your home CUNY Institution at the top of the page & click “change”

  6. Choose your subject, followed by the specific course

  7. This new page will give you information on the specific course.  To the right, choose “fetch equivalent CUNY courses”

  8. Here it will tell you if there is a match at a partner CUNY campus

  9. If the course is scheduled, you will be able to “view class sections” by clicking that green button to the right of the class – Be sure to select the correct term offered.

  10. The information is listed including days, times, professor, etc.
