Yousaf Motiwala

Position Sought: President
Slate: Students Serve Students (SSS)

Major Field of Study: Business Administration
Career Goal: Stock Trader/Financial Advisor

What are your reasons for seeking office? There are many students that share similar con-cerns about certain issues, but no one seems to know how to resolve these problems. Acknowledgment of an issue does not bring about a resolution for it. My desire is to accomplish change throughout QCC, for the betterment of students and bridge the gap between unheard students and QCC Administrators. By becoming President, this vision can and will be carried out.

What would you like to accomplish if elected? If elected, I will explore opening up the Student Union for longer hours, so students do not have to go to the Library or turn to the hallway benches to socialize and eat. They will instead, be able to go to the Student Union, where they can eat, play games/music, and socialize. I will also look into extending the Library hours during the months when there are upcoming midterms and finals. I will try to enact these changes and much more, for the betterment of student life.
