NOTICE TO ALL OVERSEAS STUDENTS:
We are no longer issuing I-20s to overseas students, for the submission deadline for I-20 documents for overseas students was Tuesday, July 1, 2014. If we did not receive all the documents needed, we cannot issue an I-20. If you recieved an acceptance letter after this date, please contact Admissions to defer your attendance to the spring 2015 semester. 
IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION 
If you intend to travel overseas during the semester break, it is important that you carry the following documents in your carry-on luggage or on your person:
  • Valid passport with valid F-1 visa
  • Original Form I-20 (w/travel signature if a continuing student or OPT recipient)  
  • Your contact information, including a 24-hour emergency phone number

ADMISSIONS AND U.S. ENTRY INFORMATION

To become an F-1 student, one must first apply to CUNY. After an applicant is accepted, s/he must obtain an I-20 before applying for an F-1 visa.
