Office of Financial Services

The Office of Financial Services is committed to helping students complete the financial aid process and get the money they need to attend college. We provide information and counseling to all students regarding the various financial aid programs (grants, loans, and work-study) offered by the federal government & New York State, along with information on various scholarship opportunities.

Financial Aid Refunds
Financial Aid is disbursed to the college on a weekly basis, every Monday. Once the aid is disbursed it will be reflected in CUNYFirst, which you can see by logging in to the Student Service Center and clicking on the Account Inquiry link under the "Finances" section. If the disbursement is in excess of your tuition & fees, you may be entitled to a refund. Financial Aid disbursements posted before noon on Tuesdays should be refunded on Friday of the same week barring any unforeseen events at CUNY Central. If you are enrolled in Direct Deposit or the CUNY Scholar Card, the refund will be credited to your bank account or Scholar Card on Friday. If not, a refund check will be mailed on Friday from OUC (Office of University Controller).
