The Office of Career Services: Match QCC Majors to Occupations

Most college majors do not relate to one specific occupation. It is important for you to explore and consider the different occupations that are available. You can learn about occupations through various resources including print, the Internet, and by speaking with those employed in the field. The career programs listed in the QCC College Catalog cite typical employment opportunities for each curriculum.

The Office of Career Services has a Computer Assisted Career Guidance programs (CACG), called FOCUS-2, which allows you to search a database for occupations related to a specific curriculum.

You are welcome to make an appointment after completing all five assessments in the program to speak with an advisor for guidance in using FOCUS-2 and interpreting your results.
