Clinical students in NU 101 may apply for the Dual/joint Degree Program in Nursing with School of Professional Studies. Admission to the program is extremely competitive and will be based on the student’s GPA and overall academic work. A student must receive a faculty recommendation indicating a strong clinical performance in NU-101. In addition to the courses required for their A.A.S. degree, students will be encouraged to complete additional liberal arts, science, and humanities courses that can be applied to the B.S. degree. Students will be guided in the selection of these courses by an advisor to maximize the courses that meet the general education, as well as the pluralism and diversity, graduation requirements for School of Professional Studies.

Notes for the QCC portion of this program:

  1. All students must complete two (2) WI designated classes to fulfill degree requirements.
  2. Students in degree programs must complete any required remedial speech courses before graduation. See pre-requisite for NU 101.
  3. *Students who are exempt from MA 119 College Algebra are required to take MA 336 Statistics.
  4. Students are required to take particular courses in some areas of the Common Core that fulfill both general education and major requirements. If students do not take the required courses in the Common Core, they will have to take additional credits to complete their degree requirements.
