The Office of Career Services assists students and alumni in their professional development by educating them about the job search process through labs and one-to-one conferences. The staff assists students with the preparation of resumes and cover letters, and helps develop interviewing and networking skills. The Office sponsors a Job Fair in the spring, an Internship/Cooperative Education Forum in the fall and coordinates on-campus recruitment activities by business and non-profit organizations with the departments of the College throughout the school year.

What We Do:

  • Provide career advisement regarding choice of QCC majors and associated occupations

  • Post full-time and part-time job/internship opportunities for students and alumni

  • Coordinate on campus recruitment activities by business and non-profit organizations

  • Prepare students and alumni for interviewing opportunities through assistance with resume writing, cover letters and presentation skills

  • Advise students about worthwhile internships and coordinate internship opportunities with Cooperative Education courses

  • Present job fairs and internship/cooperative education forums where organizations come to campus to inform students about career opportunities

  • Educate students about the job search process and labor market trends through workshops and seminars
