Website Accessibility

Queensborough Community College recognizes the importance of ensuring that our website is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities.

Our website’s accessibility is based on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WWCAG) 2.0, Levels A and AA as well as the ADA Section 508.

This website endeavors to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 and has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers, and using standards compliant HTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.

For the best possible experience, we encourage everyone to keep their technology up to date and, whenever possible, utilize the latest versions of their web browser and/or assistive technology.

As part of the College's ongoing commitment to treat all individuals fairly and appropriately, we ask those Faculty and Staff Web Coordinators who are unfamiliar with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 to contact the Department of Web Services before uploading any document(s) to the website.

Portable Document Format (PDFs)

Some documents posted to this website are produced in portable document format (PDF). In order to improve viewing of these files, please download the latest version of Adobe Reader, which is available for free at the Adobe website. Alternative accessible formats are also provided, where possible, most commonly through a text or an HTML file.

We are continually seeking solutions that will keep the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the Queensborough Community College website, please contact our Web Services team.
