Watercolors 101

In this workshop for beginners and intermediate levels, you will get a taste of how to create the most astonishing watercolors, using techniques ranging from dry into dry, wet into wet and wet into dry. You will also learn about color and composition and some texturing. Students will familiarize themselves with brushes, water color paper and various tools for painting
Materials needed:
Bring your good artist quality (Winsor Newton or Grumbacher ) watercolor set, two round sable brushes # 1 & # 7, (Yarka, Arches, Kolinsky) an angled Taklon brush thumb nail size and a flat brush #3/4 ", paper towels, a natural sponge, container for water, B4 pencil, scrap paper for sketching and Arches cold press watercolor paper (pad, about 11"x15"). For texturing, bring spray bottle, kitchen salt, rubbing alcohol, and doily.
You will paint a still life, a landscape, and a person.
