Build on your knowledge of working with color pencils. Further explore value intensity, color temperature, complementary colors, form shadow, reflected shadow, and more while learning to draw beautiful colored pencil portraits step by step. You will learn scumbling, edges, creating darks, impressed lines, burnishing, lifting, layering, to build rich colors, creating believable skin tones, learning the importance of composition, and more. You will be drawing using reference photos.

Art supplies:

Pencil 2B, SOFT Prisma color or Spectra Color pencil set, Strathmore or other good quality drawing pad, ruler, tracing paper, eraser, (electric or battery operated is best) sharpener, erasing shield, desk brush, colorless blender.

Students are responsible for materials.
