Swim Program COURSES We offer swimming courses for all, from beginners to competitive to recreational. Find Your Path Featured Courses Aqua Aerobics Get back in the water with this class that focuses on muscular conditioning and cardio using flotation devices and the natural resistance of the water, for heart health and stamina. For swimmers and non-swimmers of all levels. **We have an assistive chair to help with entry and exit into the water. Community Swimming A supervised recreational swimming program. Registration invoice for Community Swim (PEX287) required for entrance to the pool. Children under 15 must be accompanied in the pool by an adult. Ages 15-18 must have adult supervision. Parent and Child Swim (ages 3-6) This class aims to make the water a comfortable and fun place for your child! The class is designed to make each child as well as parents comfortable in the water. There will be lots of fun, music and splashing. We focus on basic floating, kicking, safe entry/exit the pool and aquatic safety. Guardians are required to be in the water must be in the water with their child. Tuition includes both parent and child When your child is sick, please keep them home. Students will learn skills such as front crawl, back crawl, and breathing techniques as well as increasing the distance in which they can swim. We require Parents/Guardians to remain in the building while their children swim. Swimmers that do not (or cannot) follow the instructor or lifeguard's directions, we may ask you to assist us on the side of the pool with your child or to join us in the pool with your child for safety concerns. Adult Intermediate Swim This class is designed for swimmers who can comfortably swim 25 yards (1 lap) unassisted in any stroke. A basic knowledge of front crawl and back crawl is needed. Students will learn breathing technique, breaststroke, and butterfly; as well as building endurance and lap swimming etiquette. Competitive Swim Instruction (ages 10 - 14) For ages 10-14. Pre-requisites: Swim a minimum of 50 yards (2 laps) or more without stopping or needing assistance. Ability to swim backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle with rhythmic breathing. All of the 4 basic competitive strokes will be covered (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle) rescue stroke, flip turns and diving. We will refine the swimmer's technique to increase efficiency, speed, endurance and comfort in the water.
