The Details

Bring a co-worker to a show at the Queensborough Performing Arts Center. Invite a sibling to attend a career-building workshop, job fair, or resume session! Show off the QCC Art Gallery, Virtual Nursing Hospital, or Advanced Manufacturing and 3D printing lab to your best friends! Maybe you want to bring a date to one of our championship athletic events? It’s all possible with our Bring A Friend to (Your) College program.

Best of all? It’s a WIN-WIN!

You will receive one raffle ticket for every guest you bring to campus, and each of your guests will also receive a raffle ticket. Best of all? Every ticket is a guaranteed winner! Prizes include Queensborough swag, daily Metrocards, Mets tickets and more. Plus, one lucky winner will win a brand-new MacBook Air! After attending one of the events, you and your guest will be contacted by the President’s Office about your entry into the raffle and when you can pick up your prize.

QCC’s 17 academic departments offer 44 transfer and degree programs, including Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, and a fully online business degree, as well as non-credit courses and certificate programs. Our supportive faculty is actively engaged in community college pedagogical research to study and improve the teaching methodologies to further benefit our students. 70% of our full-time faculty hold a Doctoral or Terminal Degree, three times the national average.

Queensborough Tigers

QCC teams participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Our beloved Tigers have as many as 10 CUNY Athletic Conference Championship teams. Our 14 intercollegiate sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer, swimming, track & field and volleyball (men and women’s).

State-of-the-Art Facilities

QCC students can take advantage of our soccer field, newly renovated fitness center, Olympic-size pool, baseball at Padavan-Preller Fields (for baseball), gymnasium with basketball court, outdoor track, dance studio, and tennis courts.

Support Programs

  • The Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) at Queensborough Community College provides comprehensive academic, financial, and career-related support services for students to build a connected community with the goal of having students graduate within two-three years.

  • The College Discovery & SEEK programs provide comprehensive academic, financial, and social support to assist capable students who otherwise might not be able to attend college due to their educational and financial circumstances.

  • Still in high school? You don’t have to wait! College Now is a FREE college transition/dual enrollment program to help high school students at the New York City public schools earn college credits — or become college-ready — before graduating.

  • The Office of Military and Veterans’ Services provides support and assistance to our military service members, veterans, and their families as they pursue their academic goals at QCC.

  • The Lucille A. Bova Food Pantry offers vital non-perishable food options to QCC members who may be experiencing food insecurity.
